The VP 772F3 was designed as A magnetic
separation stand for 1.5 ml Micro centrifuge tubes. It
can be used in assays using as little as 0.400 ml of
sample or for as much as 1.5 ml. The stand has A
single 6.35 mm diameter NdFeB magnet (52 MGO)
positioned to capture magnetic beads even from samples as
low as 0.40 ml. These powerful magnets will
capture the magnetic beads in 15 seconds.
Even 2 ml micro centrifuge
tubes can be used in these stands.

The VP
772F5 was designed as dual use magnetic separation stand for
1.5 ml Micro centrifuge tubes. It can be used in
assays using as little as 0.15 ml of sample or for as
much as 1.5 ml. The stand has two 6.35 mm diameter
NdFeB magnets (52 MGO) positioned to capture magnetic beads
even from samples as low as 0.15 ml.

This magnetic bead separation system for
50 ml conical test tubes consists of 2 parts. The
VP 772F1M is a magnetic base which set on a base with
the same dimensions as a microplate (127.76mm by 85.48 mm)
holds four 48 MGO NdFeB magnets that are 25.4 mm cubes.
The VP 772F1R is a rack holding eight 50 ml conical
test tubes which can be manually or robotically placed over
the magnetic base and the magnetic beads in the test tubes
are rapidly separated by the large and power magnetic field
generated by the VP 772F1M.The
photo on the right illustrates the two parts mated together
and the photo below it illustrates how they perfectly fit
together and hold the test tubes close to the magnets for
rapid separation of the beads. Note that we have
machined slots in the tube rack so you can see the tubes and
when the beads have been separated.
The key to our success is that we use
very large magnets with high energy 48 MGO or higher.

The same test performed on a similar Promega separation
system using much thinner and weaker magnets required twice
the time to separate the beads. |

Single magnetic separation stand made from HDPE (High
Density Poly Ethylene 63.5mm diameter and 61mm tall) for
50ml centrifuge tubes with one magnetic cube (25.4mm on a
side). This very large magnetic cube is made from a very
high energy rare earth magnet (48 MGO NdFeB). The design of
the VP 772FB-1 was constructed to reduce the distance
between the magnet and the tube to zero, thus maximizing the
holding power of the magnet to the beads. This magnet
produces a very large and very powerful magnetic field which
will capture your magnetic beads in just a few seconds and
will tightly hold the beads to the tube wall through the
most rigorous washing procedure.
If speed of separation and vigorous washing are important in
your application this the magnetic separation stand for you.
|
|
|
|
| |
The VP 772FB-1 separation stands can be linked together via
the magnetic force of the magnets to form a row of
separation stands of any length. |
|
|
|
|
Depending on your assay and the liquid volume of your assay,
you may want the location of the magnetically captured beads
in the tube to be lowered. This may be important if you are
using low volumes of incubation or wash buffers. You can
lower the capture level by simply placing quarters in the
bottom of the separation stand and raise the tube up. The
more quarters you put in, the lower the magnetically
captured beads will be held in the tube.
We could make a custom insert and charge you a lot of money
for it but it wouldn’t work any better than a stack of
quarters or other coins of similar diameter.

The VP 772FB-1A is a clear Acrylic cylinder 29.22mm in
diameter and 51.82mm long with a 16.44mm diameter hole
drilled so it is tangent to the magnet edge and has a
16.38mm wide opening to the magnet. The VP 772FB-1A was
designed as an adaptor to fit inside a VP 772FB-1 and allows
the use of test tubes that have diameter smaller than 16.44
mm (15 ml conical centrifuge tubes, 13 ml standard plastic
test tubes and 10 ml glass screw cap test tubes). This
greatly increases the versatility of the VP 772FB-1 magnetic
separation stand. The very large magnetic cube of the VP
772FB-1 is made from a very high energy rare earth magnet
(48 MGO NdFeB). The design of the VP 772FB-1A was
constructed to reduce the distance between the magnet and
the tube to zero, thus maximizing the holding power of the
magnet to the beads. This magnet produces a very large and
very powerful magnetic field which will capture your
magnetic beads in just a few seconds and will tightly hold
the beads to the tube wall through the most rigorous washing
procedure.

your application this is the magnetic separation stand for
you.

Top View of the VP 772FB-1A is seen in the photo to the right. Note how the eccentric
placement of the hole through the Acrylic rod places the tube against the magnet. An
added benefit of the Acrylic cylinder is that it functions as a magnification lens to
help visualize the beads. |
|
|
|
| |
Depending on your assay and the liquid volume of your
assay, you may want the height of the magnetically captured
beads in the tube to be lowered. You can do this by simply
placing quarters in the bottom of the Separation Stand under
the VP 772FB-1A. The more quarters you put in, the lower the
magnetically captured beads will be held in the tube. This
may be important if you are using low volumes of incubation
or wash buffers.

The magnetic bead separation system for 1L bottles is designed for easy removal of the cleared supernatant, which can
simply be poured off by removing the cap while the bottle is still held securely in the device. A massive 2"x2"x3" Neodymium Iron Boron magnet removes the beads in 5 to 10 minutes and holds them securely while
solution is added or removed. This design allows for the use of large volumes of magnetic bead solutions while facilitating rapid washing and resuspension of the beads. |
