  • Product: VP 177AD-1
     

    Abstract

    The VP-177AD-1 is a 96 channel dispensing manifold.  This device is designed for rapid filling of both standard and deep 96 well plates compared to an 8 or 12-channel pipettor.  This experiment is setup to determine both the accuracy and precision of this instrument by measuring the quantity of aqueous FITC transferred per well and the coefficient of variance from well to well.  A plate filled by a 12-channel pipette is used as a standard control to calculate how much FITC is transferred by the manifold.  The manifold is tested in volumes of 50, 100, and 200 uL dispenses.  CV’s for these transfers ranged from 3.50% to 8.20, and the volume transferred were within 2.00% of the target volume dispense.  The experiment supports the conclusion that the VP-177AD-1 can rapidly fill 96-well plates compared to an 8 or 12-channel pipettor while maintaining equivalent reliability.
